Yeah, I said it.
Good. Sometimes we all need to change our thinking.
As a former gym owner (Fit Neighborhood Fo Life!) who truly cared about her clients and genuinely wanted them to show up, I learned a few things.
1. Doing things you hate over and over again does not make it less hateable.
2. Not being able to make it to the gym can become an easy excuse for not working out at all.
3. Doing something active that you enjoy (in or out of the gym) is the best fitness plan you could have.
Bottom line: don’t be like the 90% of people who will join a gym and quit going in the first 2 weeks.
Use your time and your money wisely this year and take the time to find something you can and want to keep doing…even if it’s walking or playing (active) video games or Zumba or line-dancing or BURPEES! (Yes, some people actually like burpees.)
It doesn’t matter. Just have fun while you’re doing it.
